A Message from A.P. James Kincaid

Welcome to the Bryant H.S. Social Studies Department Web Site! Our department is dedicated to meeting the needs of our students. We offer additional classes in PM school and Saturday School as well as individual student tutoring. Our goal is to assist all Bryant students to meet their Regents and graduation requirements.

Our core required classes include Global History & Geography, U.S. History & Government, Participation in Government, and Economics. In addition to our core of required classes we also offer numerous electives such as World Religions, Philosophy, Global Issues as well as Advanced Placement courses in European History and U.S. History.

We are also pleased to announce the newly formulated Mentor Law and Forensic Science Program that has just graduated our first class. This program is a four year intensive study of law and forensic science. Courses include Introduction to Law & Civil Law, Constitutional Law & Economics, Criminal Law & Procedure and Legal Forensic Science. Students who are enrolled in the program receive many extra-curricular opportunities to enhance their legal study experience. Scholarships are available to these students as well. The Law Program provides an added benefit to our students by enhancing their study of history. This provides them with the opportunity to succeed in achieving the necessary requirements for graduation.
